Free & fun things to do with the family this weekend!

Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday! I swear my life could be put in a reality show with all the drama I am constantly surrounded by, lol! Anyways, here are some fun events for the weekend, most are free but I do have a few listed special events that do cost $ but they were so fun I couldn't leave them out!


AC Moore – Saturday 9/17 from 1-3pm, Buy a Carvable Pumpkin and Decorate it FREE with Duck Tape.

A Day Out With Thomas (Denver) - Saturday 9/17 Sunday 9/18 from 9am-5pm, Come spend the day with Thomas the train and Sir Topham Hat at the Golden Railroad Museum. For $18 You can enjoy the celebration with music, toys, magic shows, and even a 20 min train ride with Thomas. If you just want to check out the event without a train ride just pay $12 admission fee to the Golden Railroad Museum.

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores - Saturday 9/17 from 11am-3pm Free Demo: ProvoCraft Cricut Machine, 3-5pm Free Demo: Fleece With Flair.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday 9/17 from 11am-3pm, Free Make-Your-Own Fossil: kids learn about fossils and create their own impression.

Michaels – Saturday 9/17 from 10am-11am Tim Holz Distress Ink Demo (Adult event only). 11am-Noon FREE Make-It Take-It Birthday Card (Adult event only).

Oktoberfest Denver - Saturday 9/17 - 9/18 from 10am-1pm, Denver's Ballpark Neighborhood welcomes back one of the city's longest running festivals and one of the largest of its kind in the nation! Oktoberfest Denver is set to once again commemorate this world-famous and time-honored tradition of German heritage by combining dynamic performance of music and dance, bier-based activities and entertainment for all ages.

Pottery Barn Kids – Saturday 9/17 from 3-5pm, Star Wars Red Carpet Event: celebrate the release of the Stars Wars Saga on Blu-ray. Dress up in your favorite character & bring your camera for photo ops. Plus, enjoy giveaways and a chance to win a Blu-ray box set!

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

Toys R Us – Saturday 9/17 from 12m-2pm LEGO Ninjago Spinjitzu Camp. 9/18-9/25 FREE Pokemon Zoroark Character Download: Bring your Nintendo DS system and your Pokémon Black or Pokémon White Version games to Toys”R”Us to download Zoroark.
